Top Activities to do in Gaborone: Visit the Livingstone Kolobeng Monument
Not only is it filled with history, the monument is not so far from Gaborone.
You may or may not know, but David Livingstone was a missionary that came to Botswana to spread the word on Christianity, introduced education and proper health care. This is not the only honor we have for David Livingstone, we have a hospital in his honor, Scottish Livingstone, and a school Livingstone Kolobeng College.
There are pillars just like the ones at the Three Chiefs Monument. These pillars highlight the history of Botswana, from Livingstone Trail around Africa to the Battle of Dimawe.
