Activities to do in Johannesburg: Visit The Magnum Pop Up Store
We all need to cool off in the Southern Africa region heat right?!
So my hubs and I went to the Magnum Pop Up Store in Sandton Mall.
Background on the store is that last year (2018), Magnum collaborated with Laduma of Maxhosa who is a South African designer that specializes in Xhosa printed clothing. So Magnum through their collaboration with him incorporated his print onto their Pop Up Store and their ice cream ideas.
On a hot Saturday, we made our way to the store, and we were a tad lost as we couldn't locate the store but yeah we eventually made it there. It was a tad smaller than I anticipated. We had searched for this store online and yes the angles made it look bigger. So there we were with VIP cards for the store. So your girl was thinking there were perks to having this VIP card, but no the only perk was ice cream -_-. On a plus, the staff was really friendly and this is how my ice cream turned out and the store.

So with the Pop Up Store, you get to select your toppings for how your ice cream is to look like.
I selected edible rose petals, Maxhosa bed, and pink sweets and this is how it turned out.
Lastly, there were slots to take pics of your ice cream which was quite cool. Now the store was a tad small and there were 2 small tables, it's easy to imagine when the store opened and there were a lot of people. One of the reviews we read was that the store was not clean, but there was a cleaner on site when we were there.
So you have 10 days until the store closes. The ice cream was delicious and am sure with my heads up you will absolutely enjoy it.
